Free Motion Quilting Workshop

Service Description

Spend the day with Delphine Brooks for a masterclass on free motion quilting, the day long course will include how to set up your machine for free motion, beginners steps on how to do simple free motion embroidery right up to more advanced techniques. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced sewer, you will walk away with new found confidence and skills to free motion quilt. Each little sample of free motion embroidery will be sewn together to make a mini sampler quilt or cushion. You will need to bring the following: A sewing machine that has the capabilities to drop the feed dogs and comes with the correct free motion / darning foot. (please check your machines manual that your machine has the correct capabilities) 1 metre of wadding, preferably 80/20 blend or bamboo 1 metre of white plain cotton A mixture of coloured threads A basic sewing kit including, cutting mats, scissors, rotary cutters and small irons if you have them Applique materials will be provided as will full sized templates. The location for the workshop will be taught in the pretty village of Wellesbourne near Stratford Upon Avon, the venue has ample free, on site parking including disabled car parking with disabled access to the main building.

Cancellation Policy

If unfortunate events arise leading to us having to cancel the workshop, we will offer you an alternative class on the next available workshop, if we are unable to secure you a place we will provide you with a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop date should exceptional circumstances arise. Should you need to cancel your place we kindly ask you to let us know as soon as possible at least 10 days prior to the workshop date to allow us time to fill your place with another student and a full refund will be provided, if you cancel less than 10 days to the scheduled date unfortunately we will be unable to refund you the cost of the workshop. We are not able to compensate you on any costs that you may have incurred prior to the workshop including accommodation or travel expenses.
